Thank you to the Garden City Cat Club
This fabulous cat club donated three tables to us in the entrance of their show for the 4th year in a row. Wow!
We had a really wonderful time! We received a lot of donations and also sold a lot of donated items. We are very grateful to the attendees who over the weekend provided us with stacks and stacks of donated cat food and over $1,200 for the kitties’ vet and food bills. We were especially glad to receive donations for our newest old kitty rescued from the Pound, Morrie Junior (photo here at the vet and post soon...), and also for the vet needs of Marcie who came to the show with us. We are thrilled to be part of this exciting event.
There is still time to buy desk and wall calendars. Please email email@example.com for more info..
The best gift of all is to make a donation to the rescue in the name of a friend or family member. This is especially nice for a cat lover who will appreciate this more than a material gift. We will send a sheet with the photo of a cat being helped and a description of the cat’s situation. See our Donations section for ways to donate. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can get exact info for your gift notice and your tax receipt.

THRIFTY's SMILE CARDS
A new program has started and will continue until April 29, 2017, or until we reach $2,500 in donations from Thrifty’s. The previously-issued cards are still good to use and HHC will receive 5% of all purchases. If you need a new card please email us at email@example.com with your name and mailing address and we’ll send you one. These are good at all Thrifty’s in B.C.
At Customer Service in Thrifty’s or at the register (before they begin ringing up your groceries) you load your Smile card by Visa or cash. Then use it for your groceries and Thrifty’s will donate 5% to us from what you spend. You pay no extra.
In 2015 we received $2000 from the program which was a big help with food and vet care. Thank you very much for helping us in this meaningful way.
Elements Compounding Pharmacy
at 3540 Blanshard St. in Victoria (near Pacific Cat Clinic & Save-On Foods) is
very supportive of our rescue efforts. They have our catnip mice for sale and
also have a coin donation box for us. They can also accept larger donations
for us and for those of $10 or more we will send a tax receipt. The pharmacy
staff is very friendly and helpful, so please stop by. Also, bring your
prescriptions for yourself and your pets!!

Cats of Greater Victoria Society was
formed in 2009 for the purpose of rescuing abandoned domestic cats and helping
feral cats. Our goal is to find good foster and permanent homes for cats we
have rescued so we can help more cats in the future. When possible, we maintain
long-term foster homes for seniors, low income families, and those on
disability. We rely heavily on donations from supporters in order to help cats
in desperate need of food, shelter, and medical care. Donations also allow us
to maintain our foster homes which greatly benefit not only the cats but also
the people who love them.
All cats in our care
have received: spay/neuter, shots, flea treatment, deworming, veterinary exam,
and FIV testing if deemed necessary. Medical treatment is provided when
needed. We greatly appreciate donations for medical care, such as when a senior
cat needs life-saving dental work. Before adoption, potential adopters are
welcome to have blood tests done at their own expense to more completely assess
the cat’s health status.
domestic cats are available for adoption and fostering to INDOOR-only
non-smoking homes. We have cats of all ages, including one-year-old cats to
middle-age. We love the seniors and have several sweet cats around 8 or 10. We
also have older affectionate seniors and many lovely shy young cats who are
available for sponsoring and visiting as they need help gaining trust of
humans. We seek sponsors to donate monthly to their ongoing care since they
have a longer road to adoption.
We maintain a foster program where cats live in loving homes while awaiting permanent adoption. We also have a special Long-Term Senior Foster Program, particularly for older seniors, where the cat is not up for adoption until such time as there is a change in circumstances with the senior, the cat or the rescue that makes it best for us to bring the cat back to the rescue.
our cats are adopted to INDOORS non-smoking homes only.
See the links under “adoption” in the About Us section which explain
in great detail why indoors homes are best.
